What is the Pro Se Divorce Program?
The Pro Se Divorce Program is a cooperative effort between the Mahoning County Domestic Relations Court and the Voluntary Legal Services Program of CLAS.
The program enables low income members of the community to present their own case to the Court. When the matter is uncontested and when there are no mutual children, assets, or debts.
When are clinics held?
The clinics are held at the Domestic Relations Court on a monthly basis. The clinic sessions begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. and continue through the morning.
What happens to the clinic?
Clinic participants watch an actual pro se divorce hearing and then receive instruction from an attorney about general divorce law and procedure in Ohio. The participants then complete their pleadings and file their cases.
